One-Word Story
The group tells a story together one word at a time โ each person adds a single word in turn, and the tale goes somewhere nobody planned.
How to run it
- Sit or stand in a circle. The first person says one word to begin a story โ for example, "Yesterday".
- Going around the group, each person adds exactly one word, building on the sentence so far.
- Keep it flowing โ say your word quickly without overthinking, and let punctuation happen naturally (someone can say "period" to end a sentence).
- Carry on until the story reaches a natural (or hilarious) ending. For a twist, set a theme or a required final line up front.
