Scattergories Generator
A free generator that rolls a random letter and a fresh list of categories with a built-in timer — everything you need to run Scattergories.
How to play
Open the generator to get a random letter, a list of categories (a fruit, a country, something in a kitchen…), and a countdown timer. Everyone races to write one answer per category that starts with that letter before time runs out.
Score a point for each answer nobody else wrote — duplicates cancel out, so the goal is creative, unique words. Best for word-and-trivia fans in groups of about 3–12, in a classroom, on a call, or at a party.
Tip: agree on house rules up front (are proper nouns allowed? does it have to be a real word?), then read answers aloud at the end so the group can challenge any duplicates.
